The well waymarked Pembrokeshire Coast Path is one of the official National Trails in England and Wales, winding along some of the very best British coastline for 300 kilometres (186 miles), from Amroth in the south to St Dogmaels in the north. Opened in 1970, it was the first National Trail to be established in Wales and lies almost entirely within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the only truly coastal National Park in Britain.
Our tours combine two of the finest sections of this celebrated trail into one outstanding walking holiday. Starting near Amroth, the route follows the dramatic southern coast through charming seaside towns such as Saundersfoot, Tenby and Manorbier before reaching the impressive Norman castle at Pembroke. From there, a short transfer brings you north towards the wilder, more remote St Davids peninsula, where the coast takes on a quite different character — ancient headlands, Iron Age promontory forts, Neolithic monuments and, at its heart, the cathedral city of St Davids. Britain’s smallest city punches well above its weight, with a magnificent medieval cathedral, excellent restaurants and cafés, and a relaxed, unhurried charm that makes it a wonderful base for two or three nights of exploration.
