Hassocks, Devils Dkye, and Wolstonbury Hill

This walk will take you from the village of Hassocks, and into the hills of the South Downs. You'll climb over the first hill to the village of Pyecombe, then upwards to the Devil's Dyke, an interesting geological feature which has been a popular tourist attraction since Victorian times. There's also a great pub nearby that makes an ideal place to stop for a break. After visiting the Devil's Dyke, the route takes a slightly flatter (though not entirely without hills) route back to the the trailhead. There are a few steep climbs along the route, and the chalky soil here forms particularly slippery mud, so make sure to come prepared with stout outdoor footwear.
