Coledale Horseshoe

Challenging circular hike from Braithwaite (about 8.6 miles, 4.5 hours) with steep climbs and descents and over 3,700 ft of total elevation change. Expect strong uphill sections leading to high Lake District ridges and wide views over Derwentwater and surrounding fells, followed by a demanding descent back towards Braithwaite. Best suited to experienced hikers with good fitness and proper gear.
