Black Hole, Maitai Viewpoint to Centre of NZ

This challenging 4.5 km loop from Nelson packs steep climbs and descents into about 80 minutes. With around 241 m of elevation gained and 273 m lost, it offers a solid workout and is best suited to fit, experienced hikers. The route starts and ends near central Nelson, likely passing through bushy slopes and view points over the city and Tasman Bay, giving a rewarding sense of variety in a relatively short but demanding outing.
