Barnard Castle to Abbey Bridge Loop

A gentle circular walk exploring the riverside paths of Barnard Castle. The route begins at the Market Cross and follows quiet paths past the weir, old stone bridges and the remains of Egglestone Abbey before returning through open fields and calm stretches of the River Tees. A peaceful loop with history, scenery and easy going terrain.
