The Matterhorn Trek

This must be one of most stunning short trails in the world!! We did it on June 2024 and there was still snow on trail. It starts in Zermatt before heading into the mountains, eventually arriving at the foot of The Matterhorn, then back to Zermatt. A good level of fitness is required. In short, it is unforgettable!! ❤️❤️

The clear skies turned to clouds and rain almost instantly. It rained about 6km in and I found one overhanging rock after about 30mins of walking, it was quite cold and windy too. There was a couple taking shelter there and I joined them for the rest of the hike - I loved every moment of it.
