Completed this trail at the end of August . Even know this is an easy to moderate trail with not a lot of elevation. This trail is quite remote and depends on how long you plan , you will need to pack out food for 4-6 days and your tent . It’s a great trail and not very popular, I found it just as good as the WHW even better.

can be challenging with narrow cliff walks. also some property owners make it difficult with lots of barb wire especially after whaligoe. I didn't like the road walking after scotsburn

Completed solo in 4.5 days in March 2022, wildcamping throughout. Definitely take the high routes on the north side of the loch, and be prepared for the south side to have a completely different character. The Hiiker map is not currently accurate on the south side so rather use the South Loch Ness Trail map rather than follow the 360 one past Fort Augustus. A moderate hike, but accessible to most fitness levels. Regular places to stop for food, water or resupply even though the spaces in between can be remote with limited phone signal.
