Prainha do Norte, Rocha do Morro and Baia da Areia Loop

This medium-difficulty coastal loop on Pico’s north side is a compact walk with a lot of variety packed into roughly 8.8 to 9 km / 5.5 to 5.6 miles. Expect about 200 m / 656 ft of cumulative ascent, although the official trail profile shows the route itself ranging from near sea level to about 126 m / 413 ft, so the climbing comes in short rises and dips rather than one long sustained haul.
