Fort Nassau to Moio Beach

Leaving Fort Nassau, the path descends gently toward the coastline, passing through dry scrubland dotted with divi-divi trees and cacti. Birdlife is abundant here, with the possibility of spotting troupials, bananaquits, and the occasional flamingo in nearby salt flats. After about 5 km (3 miles), the trail skirts the edge of the Schottegat, offering glimpses of Curaçao’s maritime activity and the colorful buildings of Willemstad in the distance.

Continuing west, the route transitions to quieter coastal stretches. At roughly the halfway point, you’ll reach Moio Beach, a secluded spot known for its calm, clear waters and coral fragments scattered along the shore.
