Keep an eye out for herons, kingfishers, and occasionally, bald eagles.
As you continue, the trail meanders through meadows and wetlands, offering a diverse range of flora and fauna. As you descend, the trail takes you through a mixed forest where you might spot white-tailed deer, raccoons, and even the occasional fox. The forest floor is often carpeted with ferns and moss, adding to the enchanting atmosphere.
The final stretch of the trail loops back towards the trailhead, passing through a series of small ponds and marshes. These areas are teeming with life, from dragonflies and butterflies to frogs and turtles. The trail here is relatively flat, making for an easy and enjoyable end to your hike.
