One of the most scenic and epic hikes in Ireland with incredible views of the lake from cliffside paths and some amazing photo opportunities. Starting from the woods you follow the path all the way, up the steep beginning near to the peak it can be incredibly boggy with no real path so schedule for dry summer weather or bring waterproof boots and prepare to get wet. After that you are back onto clear paths and return via another steepish descent, passing right by the lake with the opportunity of swimming in good weather.
