This hike was very enjoyable with friends, the darragh loop elevation is not too steep. It’s about 4 km to the top of the mountain where you are guided by trail markers, when you reach the top you are greeted by a cairn which you can stand atop of, this gives you a view of the Nagles, Knockmealdowns, Ballyhouras and the Galtees. In place of this cairn was a promontory fort during times of the celts which was excellent to defend from attackers. Great hike if your starting out.
