As you embark on the Barbarossaweg and Hanseweg Loop, you will first encounter a gentle ascent through lush forests. Keep an eye out for local wildlife such as deer and various bird species that inhabit this area.
Around the 3 km (1.8 miles) mark, you will come across the ruins of an old castle, believed to be from the medieval period. The final stretch of the trail takes you through a mixed forest, where you can observe a variety of plant species, including wildflowers and ancient oak trees. This section is relatively flat, making for a pleasant and easy walk back to the trailhead.
