Starting near the Städteregion Aachen in Germany, this 7 km (4.3 miles) loop trail offers a delightful mix of natural beauty and historical intrigue. With an elevation gain of around 200 meters (656 feet), it is rated as a medium difficulty hike, making it suitable for moderately experienced hikers.
To reach the trailhead, you can either drive or use public transport. If driving, set your GPS to the nearest known address in the Städteregion Aachen. For those using public transport, take a train or bus to Aachen Hauptbahnhof and then a local bus towards the trailhead area. Check local schedules for the most accurate routes and times.
One of the most captivating features of this trail is the Felsbildungen der Uhusley, a series of striking rock formations. These geological wonders are scattered along the trail and provide excellent photo opportunities. The trail meanders through lush forests and open meadows, offering panoramic views of the surrounding Eifel region.

Around the 5 km (3.1 miles) mark, the trail ascends to a viewpoint that offers sweeping vistas of the Eifel region. This is a perfect spot to pause and take in the natural beauty of the area.
The last 2 km (1.2 miles) of the trail loop back towards the starting point, descending gently through a forested area. This section is relatively easy and provides a relaxing end to your hike.
