To reach the trailhead, you can drive or use public transport. If driving, set your GPS to the nearest known address: Kornelimünster, a charming district in Aachen. For those using public transport, take a train or bus to Aachen Hauptbahnhof (Aachen Central Station). From there, local buses can take you to Kornelimünster, where the trail begins.

The trail meanders through the lush Eifel National Park, known for its diverse flora and fauna. As you hike, you'll pass through dense forests of beech and oak, interspersed with open meadows. Around the 4 km (2.5 miles) mark, the trail levels out onto a plateau. Here, you'll find panoramic views of the surrounding Eifel region. This is an excellent spot for a picnic or a short break to take in the scenery.
The final 3 km (1.9 miles) involve a gradual descent back towards Kornelimünster. This section is less forested, offering more open views and a chance to see the landscape from a different perspective. The descent is gentle, making it a pleasant end to the hike.
