#### Siegtal Radweg The first section of the trail follows the Siegtal Radweg, a scenic path that runs alongside the Sieg River. This part of the trail is relatively flat and easy, making it a great warm-up. You'll pass through dense forests and open meadows, offering plenty of opportunities to spot local wildlife such as deer, foxes, and various bird species. After about 4 km (2.5 miles), you'll reach the village of Dattenfeld, where you can take a short break and explore the local shops and cafes.
#### Altwindeck Rundweg Continuing on, the trail transitions into the Altwindeck Rundweg. This section is more challenging, with a gradual ascent that will take you through a series of switchbacks. The climb is worth it, as you'll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. At approximately 7 km (4.3 miles) into the hike, you'll come across the ruins of Burg Windeck, a medieval castle that dates back to the 12th century.
