The trail begins near Rastatt, a town known for its Baroque architecture and historical significance. As you start your hike, you'll be greeted by lush forests and well-marked paths. The initial section of the trail is relatively flat, allowing you to ease into the hike while enjoying the serene surroundings.

The Grunwinkel and Glasbrunnen Loop is rich in biodiversity. The forested areas are dominated by oak, beech, and pine trees. In the spring and summer months, the trail is adorned with wildflowers, adding a splash of color to your hike.
