#### Ruck The initial section of the trail takes you through the Ruck area, characterized by gentle inclines and lush forested paths. This part of the trail is relatively easy, allowing you to warm up and enjoy the natural surroundings. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, including deer and various bird species.
#### Himmelthal As you progress, you'll reach the Himmelthal section, which translates to "Heaven's Valley." This area is particularly scenic, with rolling hills and expansive views of the surrounding landscape. The elevation gain here is more noticeable, but the well-maintained paths make the ascent manageable. At approximately 3 km (1.9 miles) into the hike, you'll come across the Himmelthal Monastery, a historical site dating back to the 13th century. Take a moment to explore the ruins and appreciate the historical significance of this tranquil spot.
#### Wendelshohe Continuing on, the trail leads you to Wendelshohe, the highest point of the loop. The climb to Wendelshohe is the most challenging part of the hike, but the panoramic views from the top are well worth the effort. From this vantage point, you can see the Main River winding through the valley below and the dense forests stretching out in all directions. This is an excellent spot for a rest and some photos.
