The first significant landmark you'll encounter is the Postenturm, an ancient watchtower that offers panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards and the Rhine River. This is a great spot to take a break and soak in the scenery. The tower is located approximately 2 km (1.2 miles) from the trailhead, with an elevation gain of about 100 meters (328 feet).
Continuing along the trail, you'll reach Heinrich-Heine-Blick, a viewpoint named after the famous German poet Heinrich Heine. This spot offers breathtaking views of the Rhine Valley and is particularly stunning during sunrise or sunset.
