These houses date back to the 17th century and offer a glimpse into the architectural heritage of the area.
As you continue, the trail meanders through dense woodlands rich in biodiversity. Keep an eye out for native wildlife such as deer, foxes, and a variety of bird species. The forest floor is often carpeted with wildflowers in the spring and summer, adding a splash of color to your hike.
Around the 3.5 km (2.2 miles) mark, you'll reach the highest point of the trail, offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. This is an excellent spot for a short break and some photography. The elevation gain here is about 50 meters (164 feet) from the trailhead, making it a moderate climb.

The descent begins gradually, leading you through more open landscapes and meadows. This section of the trail is particularly beautiful in the late afternoon when the sun casts a golden hue over the fields. At approximately 5.5 km (3.4 miles), you'll pass by a small, picturesque pond, a perfect spot for a brief rest.
The final stretch of the trail takes you back into the forest, eventually looping back to the starting point near Limburg-Weilburg. This section is relatively flat, making for an easy and relaxing end to your hike.
