Ave Maria, Kilianskr and Buschelkapelle Loop

Trail Overview

Ave Maria Chapel to Kilianskr

From the Ave Maria Chapel, the trail continues through a mix of forested areas and open meadows. Approximately 3 km (1.86 miles) into the hike, you will reach Kilianskr, an ancient site with historical significance. This area was once a Roman settlement, and you can still see remnants of old structures. The elevation gain to this point is around 200 meters (656 feet), making it a moderate climb.

Kilianskr to Buschelkapelle

Continuing from Kilianskr, the trail meanders through dense forests and open fields, gradually ascending towards Buschelkapelle. This section is about 2 km (1.24 miles) long and adds another 100 meters (328 feet) to your elevation gain. Buschelkapelle is a quaint chapel surrounded by picturesque landscapes, offering another excellent spot for rest and reflection.
