Around the 3 km (1.86 miles) mark, you'll come across remnants of historical significance. This region has a rich history dating back to Roman times, and you might notice old stone structures and pathways that were once part of ancient trade routes. The area around Bad Kreuznach was known for its salt springs, which were highly valued in Roman times.
As you continue, the trail opens up to more expansive views. Around the 4 km (2.48 miles) point, you'll reach a small clearing that offers panoramic views of the Nahe Valley. The next section of the trail, from 4 km to 6 km (2.48 to 3.73 miles), takes you through a diverse range of flora. The last kilometer (0.62 miles) of the trail descends gently back towards the starting point near the Kurpark. This section is relatively easy and offers a relaxing end to your hike.
