To reach the trailhead, you can drive or use public transport. If driving, set your GPS to the nearest known address: Pudford Hill, Worcestershire, WR6 5QW. For those using public transport, the nearest major town is Worcester. From Worcester, you can take a local bus towards Martley and alight at the Pudford Hill stop, which is a short walk from the trailhead.
The trail begins with a gentle ascent through lush woodlands, where you can expect to see a variety of native trees such as oak, beech, and ash. As you climb, keep an eye out for local wildlife, including deer, foxes, and a plethora of bird species. The initial 2 km (1.2 miles) of the trail will take you through this serene forested area, gaining about 50 meters (164 feet) in elevation.
