To reach the trailhead, you can drive to East Knoyle, where parking is available near the village center. If you prefer public transport, the nearest train station is Tisbury, about 8 km (5 miles) away. From Tisbury, you can take a local bus or taxi to East Knoyle.
The trail begins with a gentle ascent through lush meadows and ancient woodlands. Early on, you'll encounter a variety of wildflowers, especially in spring and summer, making this a botanist's paradise. Keep an eye out for orchids, cowslips, and other native species.
As you progress, the trail takes you through the Prescombe Down National Nature Reserve, a haven for wildlife.
