Crag Hill, Green Coum, Green Hill and Gragareth Loop

Starting near Westmorland and Furness in England, this 15 km (approximately 9.3 miles) loop trail offers a moderately challenging hike with an elevation gain of around 500 meters (1,640 feet). Initial Ascent and Crag Hill The hike begins with a steady ascent towards Crag Hill. At around 3 km (1.9 miles) into the hike, you will reach the summit of Crag Hill, which stands at an elevation of approximately 682 meters (2,238 feet). Green Coum and Green Hill Continuing from Crag Hill, the trail leads you towards Green Coum. This section is relatively flat, providing a welcome respite after the initial climb. Green Coum is a picturesque valley, often dotted with grazing sheep and wildflowers during the spring and summer months. At around the 6 km (3.7 miles) mark, you will begin the ascent to Green Hill. Gragareth and Historical Significance The final significant peak on this loop is Gragareth, which you will reach after descending from Green Hill and traversing a series of rolling hills.
