The trail begins in Henley, a picturesque village known for its traditional English charm. As you start your hike, you'll be greeted by rolling hills and lush greenery. The initial part of the trail is relatively flat, allowing you to ease into the hike.
Approximately 2 km (1.2 miles) into the hike, you'll reach the small hamlet of Bexleyhill. This section involves a gentle ascent, offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, including deer and various bird species.
Continuing from Bexleyhill, the trail takes you through dense woodlands and open fields. Around the 4 km (2.5 miles) mark, you'll come across the village of Fernhurst. Fernhurst has a rich history dating back to the medieval period. The village church, St. Margaret's, is worth a visit for its beautiful architecture and historical significance. The area was also known for its ironworks during the 16th and 17th centuries, remnants of which can still be found in the surrounding woods.

The descent is gradual, making for a pleasant end to your hike. As you approach Henley, you'll pass by several traditional English cottages and farms, adding to the scenic beauty of the trail.
For navigation, it's highly recommended to use the HiiKER app, which provides detailed maps and real-time updates. The trail is well-marked, but having a reliable navigation tool ensures you stay on track.
