From Park Lane Centre, with your back to the centre, turn left towards Tesco Express then almost immediately turn left between the Medical Practice on your right and the Park Lane Centre on your left. Walk straight down the clear path through a barrier and follow the path which has a broad white lane in the centre down to the Woodside perimeter road. (There is a very convenient bus stop in both directions at this point served by bus Nos 1, 2 and 4, the 4 coming from Wellington and the Town Centre - the bus stop is called Woodrows and is a convenient start point for anyone using the bus). Cross the road carefully using the traffic island and walk down the clear path which bends to the right. Follow the path down to a path junction with a bench. Turn left, you are now on the Telford T50 50 mile Trail, which the route follows for about a mile
At the road junction turn left and, in a few yards, turn right off the road, still on the T50. . Continue for about 0.25 miles until you reach a left turn into Rough Park, still on the 50 mile Trail. Follow the track up some steps, keep straight on, continuing to climb, until you reach a picnic table at a path junction. Bear half right at the picnic table, leaving the T50. After a few yards pass through a gate and follow the path with Castle Green Cemetery on your left. As you leave the Cemetery take the right fork. After about 100 yards you reach Church Road, turn left and pass the White Horse cottage on your left, this used to be where the White Horse pub was. Reach Lincoln Hill and walk directly across to a path signed Lodge Field and the Beeches Local Nature Reserve (LNR). Follow the tarmac drive forking to the left and signposted Beeches Nature Reserve. After a few yards turn left through a gate and into the Beeches LNR. Here you are, incidentally, back on the T50 Trail. Walk straight to reach a lone wooden bench, sit down and enjoy possibly the best view in South Telford. Leaving the bench follow the path straight down some steps to eventually reach a kissing gate at the southern entrance to the LNR,. Pass through the gate and turn left. Pass a road on your right and, a few yards on, turn left through a gate and follow the path alongside a field and through a short “alley” to reach Beech Road again. Turn right, leaving the T50 Trail and walk straight for 200 yards. As you approach the Woodside perimeter road bear right walking through five bollards and on through another four bollards to continue along the end of Beech Road. Cross the main road (Woodside Avenue) using the traffic island with bus stops on your right and walk straight on with a children’s play area on your right. Follow the path which runs past the primary school fencing on your left and tree covered slopes to a pit mound on your right. On reaching a green area on the left carry on until you reach a junction of paths. Turn left and you can see the Park Lane Centre directly ahead, pass through a pedestrian only gate and reach the Park Lane Centre.
