From the station, it's a short walk to the trailhead.### Trail Overview The trail begins near Oxted and meanders through a variety of landscapes, including open fields, dense woodlands, and charming rural settings. The initial section takes you through Oaks Ash, where you'll encounter gently rolling hills and expansive views of the surrounding countryside. This part of the trail is relatively flat, making it a good warm-up for the more challenging sections ahead.### Hopgarden Wood Around the 5 km (3.1 miles) mark, you'll enter Hopgarden Wood. This area is known for its rich biodiversity, including a variety of bird species and small mammals. The woodland path is well-marked but can be muddy after rain, so appropriate footwear is recommended.
