#### Holmbury Hill At around the 3 km (1.9 miles) mark, you'll reach Holmbury Hill, one of the highest points in the area at 261 meters (856 feet) above sea level. This spot offers panoramic views of the Surrey Hills and the South Downs. Holmbury Hill is also home to the remains of an Iron Age hill fort, adding a touch of historical significance to your hike. Take a moment to explore the ancient earthworks and imagine the lives of those who once inhabited this area.
#### Pitch Hill Continuing on, you'll descend slightly before making your way up to Pitch Hill, located approximately 6 km (3.7 miles) into the hike. Standing at 257 meters (843 feet), Pitch Hill provides another excellent vantage point. The views here are particularly stunning during sunrise or sunset, with the landscape bathed in golden light. This section of the trail is also popular with mountain bikers, so be mindful of sharing the path.
