To reach the trailhead, you can drive or use public transport. If driving, set your GPS to the nearest known address: Box Hill & Westhumble Station, Westhumble, Dorking RH5 6BT, which is a short distance from the trailhead. For those using public transport, take a train to Box Hill & Westhumble Station. From the station, it's a brief walk to the start of the trail.

Dunley Wood: As you begin your hike, you'll enter Dunley Wood, a serene woodland area filled with ancient trees and a variety of bird species. Keep an eye out for woodpeckers and nuthatches. The forest floor is often carpeted with bluebells in the spring, creating a picturesque scene.
North Downs Way: After exiting Dunley Wood, you'll join a section of the North Downs Way, a long-distance footpath that stretches across southern England. This part of the trail offers expansive views of the surrounding countryside. On clear days, you can see as far as the South Downs.
