I'd recommend walking this route anticlockwise. There is a boggy section near the Roman Road but apart from that the route is fairly straightforward. Walking anticlockwise also means that you are finishing with a gentle walk downhill towards the end. Might be a lot more unpleasant in driving wind and rain.
