#### Woodland Path The initial section of the trail winds through Thrunton Wood, a dense forest area filled with towering conifers and a variety of native flora. #### Thrunton Crag Approximately 3 km (1.9 miles) into the hike, you will encounter Thrunton Crag. This rocky outcrop offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The elevation gain here is about 100 meters (328 feet), and the climb can be steep in places, so take your time and enjoy the scenery.
#### Moorland Stretch After descending from Thrunton Crag, the trail opens up into a stretch of open moorland. This section is relatively flat but can be exposed to the elements, so be prepared for wind and varying weather conditions. The moorland is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer and various bird species.
#### Coe Crags Around the 7 km (4.3 miles) mark, you will reach Coe Crags, another rocky area that offers excellent views and a good spot for a rest. The elevation gain here is less intense, around 50 meters (164 feet), but the terrain can be uneven, so watch your footing.
