Out and Back
A stunning return coastal walk from Beadnell to Bamburgh, following the Northumberland coastline north through Seahouses before retracing the route back to Beadnell.
The route combines sweeping beaches, sand dunes and coastal paths, with wide views across the North Sea and towards the Farne Islands. Bamburgh Castle gradually dominates the landscape on the approach to Bamburgh, providing a spectacular halfway point before beginning the return journey.
Mostly flat and straightforward, but the distance makes this a substantial walk. Expect exposed coastal sections, changing beach conditions and potentially strong winds.
Days planned around your pace, with somewhere to stay each night.
