From Easingwold, a short taxi ride will get you to Crayke. The trailhead is conveniently located near the village center, close to the historic Crayke Castle.
The trail begins in Crayke, a village known for its historical significance and stunning views. As you start your hike, you'll pass by Crayke Castle, a 15th-century structure that offers a glimpse into the region's medieval past. The castle is privately owned, but its imposing presence is a highlight of the early part of the trail.
