Loop
This Moderately easy full‑day hike from Stoke Albany covers about 41.7 km with roughly 400 m of ascent and 480 m of descent. Starting near the village, the route explores gently rolling Northamptonshire countryside, with quiet lanes, farmland tracks, and open views across patchwork fields. Gradual climbs and long, level stretches make it suitable for fit walkers seeking distance without technical terrain, finishing back close to the starting area. The route has alot of interesting features along the way, a disused railway, churches, Foxton locks, the Grand Union Canal and even the burial place of a Grand National Winner from the 1800s you definitely wont be disappointed with this walk.
