To reach the trailhead, you can take a train to Herne Bay Station, which is the nearest major railway station. From there, local buses or a short taxi ride will get you to Reculver. If you're driving, there is parking available near the Reculver Towers.
The trail begins at the Reculver Towers, where you can take a moment to explore the ruins of the 12th-century church and the remnants of the Roman fort. As you set off, you'll be walking along the Saxon Shore Way, a long-distance footpath that follows the coastline.
