Trail Overview The trail begins in the picturesque village of Cheriton, known for its historical significance, particularly the Battle of Cheriton in 1644 during the English Civil War. As you start your hike, you'll pass through the village, where you can see traditional English cottages and the beautiful St. Michael's Church.
