Keep an eye out for local wildlife, including deer, foxes, and a variety of bird species such as the red kite and the skylark. The diverse flora includes wildflowers like bluebells in the spring and vibrant autumn foliage.

Significant Landmarks

Around the 3 km (1.9 miles) mark, you'll come across the Painswick Beacon, an Iron Age hill fort offering panoramic views of the Severn Valley and the Welsh mountains on a clear day. This spot is perfect for a short rest and some photography.
