Walk from Parrots Corner Park to Northern Park in Doncaster

I loved walking this trail. I have lived in the area for over 60 years and it saddens me to think I haven’t hiked it previously. It has some lovely scenic sections, some of the more remote areas of South Yorkshire are visited and the route is rich in history with castles and stately homes to visit and also some of its darker aspects with tails of highway men and skulls on display in a church wall! I carried camping gear intending to do it in two days but ended up doing it all in one rather long day. I really enjoyed it but sadly didn’t see a heron.
