Challenging loop hike from Cumberland covering about 23.5 km with significant elevation gain of 1,369 m and loss of 1,420 m. This extra difficult route demands strong fitness and good navigation skills, but rewards with sweeping Cumbrian countryside views, steep ascents and descents, and a real sense of remoteness, before returning to the original starting point. Not recommended for beginners.
