The trail begins at the entrance to Trelissick Garden, a National Trust property known for its stunning gardens and woodland walks. As you set off, you'll be greeted by a variety of flora, including rhododendrons, camellias, and magnolias, especially vibrant in spring and early summer.
Approximately 1 km (0.6 miles) into the hike, you'll pass through the gardens themselves. Take a moment to enjoy the meticulously maintained flower beds and the panoramic views over the River Fal. The garden also features a Georgian mansion, which adds a touch of historical charm to your journey.
Continuing on, the trail meanders through dense woodland, offering a serene and shaded environment. This section is relatively flat, making it a good opportunity to catch your breath.
