The Hogarth Falls Track is a gentle 1.5 mi looped trail that starts and ends in People’s Park, Strahan, Tasmania. One of Tasmania’s ’60 Great Short Walks’, this is a family friendly trail near the quaint town of Strahan, home to fisherman and farmers, the former port is surrounded by 19 national parks and reserves. Meander through rainforest on forest track and over boardwalk to the beautiful falls and back. It is graded as Medium and can be completed in approximately 45 mins. Look out for platypus which can sometimes be seen swimming in the creek. Toilets and a grassy picnic area can also be found in People’s Park if you’re keen to take a picnic and those looking for a longer walking trail can park in the harbour-side village of Strahan and take the Historic Foreshore Walking Track to the waterfall. Dogs are allowed on this walking trail but must be kept on a leash at all times.
