The Ralphs Falls Walk is a family friendly 2 mi looped trail that starts and ends at Ralphs Falls Car Park, Mount Victoria Forest Reserve, Tasmania. Considered suitable for most abilities and ages and graded as Easy, this scenic trail can usually can be completed in around 1 hour and has a total elevation gain of 439 ft. (For information on how we grade trails, please click here, and caution is advised on trail times as this depends on multiple variables. For more info, click here.) A wonderful walk and mini-adventure for the whole family to the purpose-build lookout to see Tasmania’s highest single-drop waterfall at 90 metres; the loop takes in the Cach Gorge Circuit, with other lookouts on route, with beautiful scenery, forest path through temperate rainforest and some rugged terrain to navigate but it is predominantly well-maintained track (that can get muddy after rain) and boardwalk. There’s a small section of steps but there is a hand rail to assist anyone who needs it. For bushwalkers looking for a longer adventure why not explore some of the reserve’s other trails, or take the more challenging muddy mountain trail to the summit of Mount Victoria itself at 1213 metres. There are toilets and picnic facilities available at the car park, and dogs are not permitted on this trail.
