The 57 km Tipperary Way is a point-to-point National Waymarked Trail that starts in Tullaghorton, Ireland and ends in Cashel Urban, Ireland. Considered to be a moderate hike it has a total elevation gain of 1417 ft, the route is predominantly on small country roads (55%) with other sections that follow riverside pathways, woodland tracks and cross muddy pastureland. There is much to see on route, including ancient abbeys, churches and castles as well as an abundance of wildlife and nature to spot.
The trail takes in The Vee, a hairpin section of road that overlooks the Knockmealdown Mountains and passes through quaint villages as it follows the ancient road that once linked Cashel and the seaside town and fishing village of Ardmore.
