Loop takes around 30 mins (or about 45 mins with kids!). Expect, wild growth, history and views. Great coffee shop and lunch place and lovely shops with lots of interesting books if you want to learn about the history. Highly recommended.

Wear long trousers and have at least one stick with you. But I very much enjoyed it. I used the bus to skip the Slane to Boynebridge on the way back.

Lovely trail. We went clockwise where the trail is mostly good, but…. For the last 800m I would take the right turn. That last 800m is very mucky (the section where you leave the taller trees). All in all really nice. Very wild and lots of native trees swamps and a good path for kids to sprint around and have fun! Not too long so perfect for letting smaller kids run around. They can do the loop with some encouragement and snacks!!
