The trail starts and ends in the small village of Annascaul on the Dingle Peninsula, taking in the three peaks of Brackloon ridge and boasts beautiful views of the Slieve Mish Mountains, the Com Dubh river and Dingle Bay, including the notable Blue Flag Awarded Inch beach and bay. A moderate 7.1 km hike with an elevation gain of 1099 ft, the terrain is mostly bogland and peat, so hiking boots and waterproofs are recommended, with small sections of road walking at the start and end.
A fairly exposed trail, care should be taken on bad weather days, but given the choice, pick a less cloudy day for the finest views of the coast and mountains. This trail is dog friendly and is a perfect place for a rest after hiking with plenty of pubs and cafes to choose from.
