A mixture of terrain on this trail. From tractor tracks to rugged walkways. At times, muddy and rough going without any route guidance. There have been some attempts to ease the traverse with wooden walkways, but these were few and far between when I did this trek a few years ago. Stunning views over Lough Swilly and Urris. There is some parking next to the strand at Leenankeel. Suitable enough for beginners as my Mother in her 70s managed this, even with some physical limitations.

This was way too much; for me! 15k of roads where everyone has a car, hold that are like ladders and while the scenery is spectacular and the people are so nice, it stops being enjoyable after an hour or so - we headed back. The church is beautiful and reminds us of the sufferings that the people of Arran have endured up to recent times. Their pain is remembered.
