#### Whinlatter Forest Park to Seat How Starting from Whinlatter Forest Park, the initial section of the trail takes you through lush forests. This part of the hike is relatively gentle, allowing you to warm up before the more challenging sections. Keep an eye out for red squirrels and various bird species that inhabit the area.
#### Seat How to Lord's Seat As you ascend towards Seat How, the trail becomes steeper. This section offers panoramic views of the surrounding fells and valleys. The summit offers expansive views of the Lake District, including Bassenthwaite Lake and the distant peaks of Skiddaw and Blencathra. This is an excellent spot for a break and some photography.
#### Lord's Seat to Barf From Lord's Seat, the trail descends slightly before ascending again towards Barf. This section is rocky and can be slippery, so take care with your footing. Barf stands at 468 meters (1,535 feet) and is known for its steep, craggy appearance. The summit offers unique views and a sense of accomplishment as you look back at the terrain you've covered.
