Ryedale Walking Group caught the steam train from Grosmont to Goathland and walked back along the Rail Trail. For historical interest it is worth buying the guide price £3.50 (2026) from the NYMR Gift Shop on Grosmont platform. We had a really good lunch in the Old School Tearoom when we reached Grosmont. I would recommend it.
