My Ainsley Summit and base loop

Park on the left of the Mount Ainsley access road and follow the Campbell track to the start of the ascent. Climb past the Kokoda Track markers which point out significant battle sides from the 1943-44 campaign in PNG. Visit the viewing platform at the summit then retrace your steps down the mountain. Turn right at the base and follow the base loop road until you reach the car park. You can avoid the scrub bashing at the end by turning right at the pistol club (12.5 km point) instead of continuing straight to the road intersection then following the fence line.
